Bronwyn King

Dr Bronwyn King is a former radiation oncologist turned public health champion with expertise in indoor air quality, tobacco control, cancer prevention, sustainable finance and health leadership. Dr King is a driving force advancing global action on indoor air quality, a neglected issue responsible for substantial health and economic costs. In 2025 Dr King co-convened the inaugural high-level side event on Healthy Indoor Air on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and launched Air Club, a global community of air quality advocates which she co-founded with Dr Georgia Lagoudas from Brown University. In 2012, Dr King founded Tobacco Free Portfolios, an NGO whose flagship initiative – the Tobacco-Free Finance Pledge has welcomed 200+ signatories representing >US$18 trillion. Dr King’s TEDx Sydney talk has been viewed over three million times. Dr King is a former elite swimmer who represented Australia and served as Team Doctor for the Australian Swimming Team.
