Dr. Gerald Scheuer

Dr. Gerald Scheuer is Principal Technical Consultant at ABB Switzerland, supporting the global Product Group Packaging with focus on decarbonization of various industries through medium-voltage drives and power converter applications. He previously led global R&D for MV-Drives at ABB (2008-2023) and served as Head of Product Management for MV-Drives (2004-2008). Dr. Scheuer was a lecturer at ETH Zurich (2006-2019) on electrical drive systems and serves as an expert examiner at the University of Lucerne. He is an active member of several IEEE Standards Working Groups focusing on MV-Drive systems, motor protection, and power quality. PhD in Power Electronics, ETH Zurich.
