Lawrence Jones

Dr. Lawrence Jones is Senior Vice President, International Programs at Edison Electric Institute (EEI), where he has grown international membership to over 70 electric companies operating in 90+ countries, serving 3.5 billion people. He holds several patents for control center technologies and was inducted into the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in 2024. Dr. Jones serves on the board of the World Resources Institute and is editor of "Renewable Energy Integration: Practical Management of Variability, Uncertainty and Flexibility in Power Grids." He holds MSc, Licentiate and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
