Rohini Nilekani

Rohini Nilekani is Chairperson of Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies and Co-Founder and Director of EkStep, a nonprofit platform supporting large-scale public digital infrastructure for education and learning. She is also the Founder of Arghyam, a foundation focused on sustainable water and sanitation, and has played a leading role in advancing access, equity, and systems change across health, education, and environmental sectors in India. A prominent voice on civil society, governance, and inclusive development, Rohini brings a long-term, systems-level perspective on how social infrastructure, public goods, and philanthropy shape wellbeing across the life course. She is a signatory of the Giving Pledge and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
