Satoshi Koyama
CEO, Mitsubishi Mineral Resources
Born on 23 October 1968 in Tokyo, Satoshi is Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Corporation and CEO of its Mineral Resources Group, managing a global metals and mining portfolio and commodity trading operations with a combined value of USD 30 billion. Since joining the company in 1991, he has held senior leadership roles in trading, business development, and corporate strategy, and was appointed to the Executive Committee in 2023.
In addition to leading the Mineral Resources Group, Satoshi drives Mitsubishi Corporation’s strategic initiatives in Energy Transformation and AI Solutions, reinforcing the company’s long-term growth and innovation agenda.
He holds a law degree from Keio University and an MBA from INSEAD. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, he serves as Vice President of the INSEAD Alumni Association Executive Committee and as head of its Japan chapter. Raised in Tokyo and Paris, he is fluent in Japanese, French, and English.
