Shaan C. Gandhi

Shaan C. Gandhi is Vice President and Head of Partnerships for PAVE, a group within Pfizer focused on growing a portfolio of US commercial brands and royalty streams through creative operational and financial structures. Formerly, he was Head of Strategic Partnerships for Pfizer Ignite, an organization that leverages Pfizer’s R&D resources and expertise to accelerate the development of strategic therapies and therapeutic platforms within the broader biotechnology ecosystem. Before Pfizer, Shaan served as Director at Northpond Ventures, where he led the firm's biotechnologies team, and a Principal at the Longwood Fund, where he co-founded and served as President of Pyxis Oncology (NASDAQ: PYXS), an advanced biologics oncology company.

In his prior investor roles, Shaan served on the boards of CAMP4 Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CAMP), Candel Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CADL), DICE Therapeutics (NASDAQ: DICE, acquired by Eli Lilly), Kyverna Therapeutics (NASDAQ: KYTX), Vigil Neuroscience (NASDAQ: VIGL, acquired by Sanofi) and on multiple private boards. He started his career as an attending hospitalist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he also did his residency in internal medicine. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School; an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar; a DPhil in medical oncology from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar; and a BS with honors in biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University.
