Maryam Rana
Delegate, Adam Foundation
Maryam is a second year History and International Relations student at King's College London. She is currently specialising in international law, South Asian history and international politics, working towards a career in diplomacy. She is fluent in French, Arabic and Urdu which provide her with an excellent understanding of cultural contexts and linguistic families.
She is passionate about working in the Civil Service and international development organisations. Previously, she interned for major national development institutions and is seeking further experience within multilateral organisations. As a testament to her hard work, she was awarded a place on the Avicenna Foundation Programme.
Outside of her studies, she is the Secretary of the largest student-led diplomacy society in the country and Speaker Relations Director for a leading student-led conference on foreign policy and security. She is currently employed by the Royal Household, working within a major department.
