Sumana Rao is the Founder & CEO of Stra, an AI Operating System purpose-built for mid-market companies navigating SaaS sprawl, operational complexity, and rising governance demands. Stra unifies HR, Finance, and IT workflows through an ontology-driven orchestration layer that combines AI automation with human-in-the-loop controls, auditability, and trust by design—bringing governance and automation into harmony.

A seasoned business and technology leader with over two decades of experience, Sumana previously led large-scale digital and AI transformations at Trimble, where she spearheaded the migration of legacy systems to SaaS platforms, integrated more than 30 acquisitions, and unlocked over $630M in cross-sell revenue through AI-driven analytics and platform strategy. Her career bridges strategy, product, data, and go-to-market execution across global teams and complex operating environments.

Sumana is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and serves on the boards of GLOW and Safety Club, nonprofits advancing youth leadership, health equity, and child safety at scale. She brings to Undavos a practitioner’s perspective on how AI can drive enterprise productivity and innovation—without compromising governance, accountability, or human judgment.
