I have spent 20+ years in the machine learning and data science. Having started focussing on building software, my interest quickly pivoted towards the question if we can make machines 'think'. I have been deeply involved in many projects around creating machine learning models to benefit humans - my work helped people control machines by gesturing, we have built apps on mobile devices harnessing the data influx, today I am involved by leading multiple projects around Germany's unique energy transition process. With the Gaia Lab we want to create a system of interconnected world models to benefit humanity. Imagine a digital ecosphere of AIs talking to each other to solve your most complex tasks - that is Gaia. I can use my acquired expertise to create Collective Intelligence systems for all of us, and not just for the privileged.
